This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or alterations to the product.

Cleaning

How do you clean IPL & Laser eyewear?

Proper cleaning procedures vary, see our cleaning recommendations here: Cleaning and Disinfecting.pdf

Visibility

What does VLT mean?
VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission. The lower the VLT, the less visible light comes through and vice versa. Some people prefer dark lenses (lower VLT) because they have light sensitivity.
What colors can we see? Can we see pigment?
Each lens has different properties and colors. In general, it is best to decide what treatment you are needing the eyewear for. For example, when you are treating veins—you need to clearly see the difference between red, purple, and blue veins.

OD (Optical Density)

What is Optical Density?

Optical Density is the protection factor provided by a filter. Each unit of OD represents a ten-fold increase in protection. Select a filter that is equal to or greater than the OD needed.

Use this free calculator to determine the OD: https://www.lia.org/evaluator/od.php

Laser Wavelengths

Is there an eyewear option that protects for all wavelengths?

This is a two-part answer.

Medical: First, IPL eyewear and laser eyewear are always treated separately, so there is not one option that covers everything. Second, we do offer specialty eyewear (C-Series) which can cover all the wavelengths you are using at one time.

Dental: We do offer the GiT7 lens, which covers most dental wavelengths and curing lights. Shop all GiT7 frames.

Frames

What is your most popular frame?
Innovative Optics 701 frame is the most popular because it fits most face shapes and sizes, and fits over prescription eyewear. Shop all 701 lens filters
What would fit with my Loupes?
There are thousands of different loupes out there. We would recommend trying our Loupe Fit Kit, a free-2-week trial of inserts and clip-ins. Simply fill out the Fit Kit Form and we will contact you shortly.

Accessories and Barriers

Are laser curtains and barriers necessary in an open operatory?
